I was just curious, has anyone done these?

    Junior cert:
    Typewriting
    Ancient Greek
    Latin

Anyway, i'm just being all nosy, because I've never known anyone in this town to do any of them.

There's about 10 people in my year doing Latin, which I hear is basically the same as the ancient Rome section in history but spread out over 3 years...didn't even know you could do the other two for JC!

I didn't know either until I was looking for past papers on the website, and I was like OMGWTHBBQ.

I thought typewriting was a well outdated subject XP

    I do Latin!

No, it's not just History. You have to learn translations of Latin poems, a whole load of vocab for unseen translations and comprehensions, then there's Roman history (not like in the history course, actual history like wars and rulers and dates and battles and things) and you have to learn about 10 different historical personalities like Caesar and Sulla, then there's civilisation stuff too but wayyyy more detailed then JC History things.
So that's Latin! It's pretty easy if you learn your stuff, but there is loads to learn! It was really good for everyone who does Latin that the Romans essay came up in History because we've basically learnt it twice!
    :D

Probably flick through all of them, won't learn any completely off by heart...we have plenty time anyway.

I'd say Hannibal/Caesar are the ones I'll look at most. Other than that I'll just read through the rest :)

It's also a very useful skill to have (typing).

Is the typewriting exam on an actual typewriter? Or can you do it on computer? (If it's computer then I WANT IT. If it's not then I'd fail. :p)

Does anyone take Environmental & Social Studies? I don't know anyone that does but the paper looked really easy, it's like some History and some Geography. (Unfortunately it was at the same time as Geog. so I didn't have a chance...)
