It's not great but if your budget is less than 400 it's not bad. Core 2 Duo would be better unless you upgrade that package to the Phenom X3 processor, as for graphics, the 3650 is better I think.

It would be ok for pre 2006 games but once you reach 2007 things go downhill, the graphics card is the main drawback, get the 3650 for better performance but if you play above a resolutoin of 1280x1024. Pre 2007 it's fine PC but at present it's lacking.

    Is your budget €400?

For €415 it's better than the Dell for anything. Oh wait add on €50 for a PSU. If you wanted to go cheaper on the prcoessor or GFX it's possible but I'd go for a lower processor as you nedd the Graphics card.

This is much better value than the Dell.

You should really post in the building & upgrading forums as the guys there really know what their talking about!

Also post what games specifically you'd be looking to play on it and also what resolution screen you want to play them on!!!
You should also everything else that you'll be using the pc for.

They'll get you the best value for money.

A good psu and an OS will bring that to nearly 600e eshortie. The Dell is grand for the web and stuff but even pre 2006 games will wreck it when the action gets going at decent settings.

Ankermann have some very good deals. This for example comes with xp pro, fast 2.5ghz dual core, 4gb ram,, ok psu and case, 500gb hard drive for €299 + €35 delivery. If you ring them, they will add a 1gb sparkle 9600gt to that pc for €50, but I would get them to add the 9800gt for an extra tenner.

    E5200
    4gb ram
    9800gt

Is good enough for even 2009 games at good settings :pac:

Ankermann are generally a wee bit pricey and their customer service is not good at all!

if you're not gonna post this in the building and upgrading forum then i'll just give you the name of what most people on boards consider to be the best place in Europe for getting your pc from.
don't forget that if posting on the building & upgrading forum you should post what games specificly and what resolution screen you'll be playing them on.

hardwareversand.de in general offer the best prices on hardware and then will build it for you for 15euro.

    Here's a sample build.

    Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 2.66ghz

    ASUS P5QL Pro P43

    2 X 2048MB DDR2 Corsair TwinX CL 4

    Coolermaster Elite 330

    Corsair CX400W

    Sapphire HD 4850

    Samsung F1, 320GB

    Samsung SH-223Q DVD RW

    Assembley 15euro delivery 30euro

    Total = 496euro

download windows 7 release candidate and then eventually buy it whgen it comes out.
This would even play the newest games at lower resolutions very well.

I would still recommend posting on the building & upgrading forum.

Dunno but you should spend any extra cash on a tablet so you don't have to write WTF with a mouse, that's just ugly ;)

which is the better option to go for? (would be looking to upgrade later)
    -3072MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [3x1024]
    -3072MB Dual Channel DDR2 800MHz [1x2048 + 1x1024] Memory

and which is the better again
    -512MB ATI® Radeon™ HD 4350 graphics card
    -256MB ATI® Radeon™ HD 3650 graphics card

    and again....
32 bit or 64 bit vista

    thanks
