Broken spoke

My bad luck continues this month...

A spoke broke while i was on an uphill going quite handy but hopefully nothing else happened. The wheels are cheap Alex DA28 which are fine for my commuting needs (was even fine for the w200!). I had to do another 10kms to get home so i am not entirely sure if i did anything worst to the wheel. Are they worth it to give them for repair and trueing or just get a pair of cheap set?

Get them fixed, it shouldn't be too expensive. €18 last time I needed mine fixed and that was with multiple broken spokes.

I lost one after 40k of the W200, but managed to get round with no further damage. I tried replacing it myself last night, and found it remarkably straightforward. Everything's working fine, and the wheel is straighter than it was before!

Riding home on it won't do any damage. I've ridden home on three broken spokes before. But do get it seen to as soon as possible.

Once the wheel still spins after, its ok to cycle on. Sort of. The wheel will be slightly out of true so can cause a wobble at speed if it is the front wheel. Other than that they are easy enough to fix. Just watch that others don't come loose after the wheel is trued.
