    Hi guys,
I'm currently thinking of buying my first classic car. I've found the one I want, and am on the verge of buying her. I've been trying to find out as much of the cars history as possible, to make sure she checks out.

The car has a ZV registration, and was an english import. Based on the ZV number, is there any way to guesstimate what year it was imported?

    Thanks,
    F

The date of import should be written in the grey Registration Certificate under section (I)

But as has been said, why do you need to know,as the reg document will tell you?

That'll tell you when the car was registered in this country, it could be over here for years on the original reg
