Have one myself, can confirm that they are very good clippers, best I've ever owned, and I've been through a few!!! Absolute cracker of a deal too, if you use clippers, snap these up!

Cheers, picked up the last one showing in current stock in Argos Longford this morning.

Great job, but I did make the mistake of thinking that setting 3 would be the same as a 3 blade in the barbers! :o Turned out to be a bit tighter, the wife will probably wet herself when she gets home this evening :D A least the weather is warm at the moment.

Just a question for anyone who has cut their own hair with one of these. How do you manage to do the detail trim at the back and sides or is it just a shave job :D

LOL... I normally go for a blade 2 but started with setting 3 on this just to be sure. Setting 3 = Blade 2 ;)

Just got the last on in Ashbourne. Gave it a quick go on the back and sides and its fairly easy to do. Still not sure on the shaping over the ears though :D

Just picked up the last one in liffey valley yesterday, not bad for the price but for someone who shaves their head very tight its not the best clipper ive ever owned, I like to go 1 or 0 and this clipper tears the scalp off you, but so do a lot of others so if your not shaving your head really tight id say its a good buy

i bought a remington over 10 years ago for £12 in a street market in cork, still works fine today, €35 seems alot to be paying for one:confused:

This seems to be half price more often than not, I posted it up before ages ago and any time I check it is cheap, still a good deal, esp. for people paying for barbers to give them a "3 all over".

I looked at reviews recently and this one was seemed to get amazing reviews. A professional "balding" clipper from wahl (I have a 15+year home wahl still going strong, most barbers I see use wahl).
    check the reviews
    http://www.shavers.co.uk/shopping.php?product_id=327

Now you get NO attachments but it does take standard wahl ones. This ebay place was the cheapest I found, and they sell attachments. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WAHL-BALDING-CLIPPER-PROFESSIONAL-CUTS-TO-0000-NEW_W0QQitemZ250477054591QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Health_HairRemoval_RL?hash=item3a51988a7f&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Well, I bought the bargain alert Saturday and it's gonna replace my 8 year old Wahl.
I'm a 0-blade too and the Phillips was very comfortable to use, no tearing lumps out of my head with this one.

got this today. hoped that there was a tapered attachment but it doesnt appear so. is there a setting on it for doing a slight taper? afraid to open the seal and check myself in case they wont take it back

How do you guys shave around your ears with this razor?

I take a blade 2 all over, but usually get left with long individual hairs poking out around my ears and have to get the girlfriend to use a pair of scissors to clean it up.

I was looking for a hair clippers a few months back. A friend reccomended this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4422866/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CHealth+and+personal+care%7C14418350/c_2/3%7C14418350%7CMen's+beard+trimmers+and+hair+clippers%7C14418417/c_3/4%7Ccat_14418417%7CHair+clippers%7C14418426.htm

Best one i've ever had and only €12 or €13 in argos.

(i've used the english links as it has the reviews)

I was going to spend €50 or €60 on a clippers. Had I done so and got one as good as this I would have been happy!

Got one today - thanks for bumping this thread!

Great clippers. Very easy that you can "change the blade" by turning a knob. I only need 1, 2 and 3 (be careful that's 1, 3 and 4 on this clippers). The swivelling head is very handy too if you want to cut your own hair and / or have hair growing in different directions like me :D

Edit - the reservation worked fine for me. Just showed the staff the SMS confirmation with the reservation number on my phone. They typed in the number and the clippers came up on the POS system

Got this today and gave it a trial run, seems good. Well worth the €13 anyways
