Just wondering if some of you can give me a few pointers. Currently I'm looking into a course in Limerick Business School. The course I'm looking at is part time, two evenings a week, & will last for 20 weeks.
Is this course sufficient to become a legal executive?
Any advice on courses either part time or online would be appreciated.

    Hey,

You should contact the Irish Institute of Legal Executives. They already have a pre approved course run by Griffith Course in Dublin, Cork and Galway. Its a 2 Year diploma one night a week or you can do it by distance learning. You either have to have this course or have worked in the field for a certain amount of years to use the title of Legal Executive and be a member of the Instute (but dont worry about this because you can call yourself a paralegal or some other title if you dont have this course! Only a small porportion of the jobs advertised actually require membership of the Institute). I dont want to discourage you but I finished the course last year with good results and I dont know of many in my year who actually work as exec's. To be honest now what chance would we have of getting a job when there are so many qualified Solicitors competing for legal execs jobs now?
