    im looking for times i should aim for over a sprint tri. What should I be doing the swim 750m bike 20k and run 5k in. Just looking to finish in a respectable place mid table.

    It will depend on the race for example the times for a swim with the current in a river will be very different to those against the current in the sea. The best idea might be to look at the results from your target race from previous years. They are usually split into swim, T1, bike, t2 and run (though sometimes the transitions are incorporated into the moving bits, allow 30sec-90 sec for a typical transition)
