    Afternoon All,

Decided to throw some business Cycle Surgery's way with the idea of spreading the credit cards wealth;) and as a reason to see what they are like as they are only across the way from my workplace (even closer than JDaly's).
I am terrible technically when it comes to Bikes, so when having a problem with a recently purchased MTB and its gearing, I hopped on the chance to throw it into Cycle Surgery..Not the out come I had hoped for unfortunately...Firstly the service is slack, very slack...i was left waiting numerous times for some one to even man the desk.

I left a bike in with what seemed to be wrongly sized bottom bracket and it left with a new bottom bracket and what now appears to be a knackered front mech (the bike is span new !)..i was so angry i could barely talk leaving the shop...Not one offer of replacing the part that mysteriously broke....well one offer actually...€40 cost to replace it...

    Not impressed..

In my experience the staff there are very friendly...

...and utterly, utterly incapable of getting anything done.

Did you actually buy the bike from them? They were extremely overpriced at everything! I don't know about the service, but i was looking to some brushes, shoes and clothes.. and they were like 2 to 3 times more expensive than CRC. We even went downstairs to look at the clothes, and they were awfully expensive too. Never going back there!

When I got my last bike the derailer snapped, got tangled in the back wheel, buckled the wheel, scratched all the paint and nearly ruined my childrens allownance. the store swapped the bike for a new one without any quibble...you should have went back to where you bought it if there was a fault.....not really the shops fault for charging you and showing little intrest as it's not one of there bikes..

cycle surgery are far too over priced. I was looking at a pair of Sidi cycling shoes recently in there €369 and drove 10 mins down the road to superstore and €249 for the same pair

Given they are an english store you think they would have sorted there pricing out!!

They will price match against CRC in my experience.

    Bring a print out.

Went in there around christmas to get some cable housing. Store is ok, selection is quite limited and it doesn't feel like a bike store (possibly because it's wedged in on top of another store). Oddly, cycleogical is more of a "bike store" for me, bikes everywhere, video of MTB-ing on the tv, wheels dangling above your head.

Anyway, guy with long hair or dreadlocks was very helpful, but as people have said the service was quite slow.

+1 on pricing too: I got a Giro Ionos at a reduced price, but they are still about €180 online. It was €240 in their store.
