Hi just want to run this past you, a friend of mine was put on a 3 day week about a month ago, he went the welfare with all the relavent documents. Yesterday he recieved a letter saying he was entitled to 204 euro per week. He is a little bit worried someone has made a mistake and he will end up owing them money. So basically his 3 day week take home is 235euro and welfare have awarded him 204, he's single and lives at home.

That does sound like a mistake - he should go back to the social welfare office and have them recheck since he should be on part time Jobseeker's Benefit / Allowance.

He will be given yellow forms with dates and boxes on them for him to give to his employer to fill out. For every day he works he is deducted a certain amount. This form is handed in once a week with employers stamp and signatures etc.

He will not be getting the full €204 per week if he is filling out his part time forms correctly.

Cheers guys will check about yellow forms with him later, he's a very honest guy and would hate to feel he was getting something he shouldn't, will let you know later about them forms

That's correct - he should be filling in casual dockets and sending them into the office every week. The full rate he is entitled to, if he didn't work any day, would be 204.30. The daily rate is 34.05.
