Owing money to Social Welfare

Hi. I got a letter today from my local Social Welfare office telling me I owe them money for a period of a month last year. It says I was paid money for a month after I went back to work. The thing is, I rang them immediately after I went back to work to cancel my jobseeker's benefit, and I stopped collecting money from the post office the day I went back to work too.

I'm out of work again, for the last month, and am getting jobseeker's benefit. But there's no way I owe the money they say I owe, as I never even got the money. Has anyone been in this situation before, and do you have any advice on what to do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Obvious.
Write them a letter of reply saying what you just said.
