Hi all, have this problem for a couple of days now so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

Sorting out a small businesses machine with antivirus and having a couple of problems. The machine had McAfee on it which was taken off and Avast installed. It seems around that time, BOI Banking Online was not able to be accessed by the machine. The website is a secure site but its been put into the trusted sites and still no luck. Basically, when I try to access the website on this machine, the normal loading happens in the status bar down the bottom and "Business Online" appears as the website heading at the top, however I just get a blank page and "Done" in the status bar.

Have rang Bank of Ireland technical support and they ran through small things like toolbars and internet explorer settings before saying there was nothing they could do. So here I am :)

Machine is running Vista Service Pack 2 on a simple home Local Area Network and other machines on the network can access the site.

If anyone has any suggestions at all it'd be a great help.

    Thanks in advance,
    Sean

Banking online runs almost exclusively within a Java environment. Completely uninstall Java and reinstall the latest version. Then ensure that it works - the speed test on http://www.irishisptest.com/ uses a Java applet, so if you can get that to work, you know that Java is working.

If it's still not working, disable protected mode for IE in trusted sites and reboot.

Cheers for the quick reply seamus!

Tried both and still no luck. Speed test is running fine so no problem with java and tried disabling protected mode but no luck either. I'm thinking it must have had something to do with either the withdrawing of McAfee or the introduction of Avast but as soon as the issue occured, Avast was taken out and the issue stayed.

Thanks again fro the reply, any other suggestions??

Are you using Firefox? I had a chap recently call me with the same problem and using IE fixed the issue.

got it sorted, thanks very much for the help though guys! Went to reload McAfee back onto the machine and it wouldnt load until a McAfee removal type tool was runn and as soon as it was the page loaded fine! Must have been something to do with traces left by McAfee or something! Thanks all the same though!!

It's old topic but just in case you can't get boi online banking for business to work use avant browser and it will work with windows 7 and 8 and whatever. We couldn't get it to work but this solved all the problems.
