    Hey,
Im wondering would anybody know a solution to my problem. When I turn on my computer the system reads:

    Checking file system
The type of the file system is NTFS

Your disk needs to be checked for consistency. Windows will know check the disk.

CHKDSK is verifying files (stage 1 of 3)
    File verification complete
CHKDSK is verifying indexes (stage 2 of 3)
    Index verification complete
CHKDSK is verifying security descriptors (stage 3 of 3)
    Security descriptors verification complete
    CHKDSK is verifying Usn Journal
    Usn journal verification Complete

After this a lot of information loads to the screen and the PC continues to windows. On logging in to windows. the screen freezes and returns to a warning blue screen .

    Any ideas what is happening?

i presume you mean a BSOD (blue screen of death).

if so, what is the error code that it gives , you need to take it down and post it here or google the error for an idea where to start,

    regards,

    dave.

Try run a chkdsk from recovery console. Looks like your H/D is in trouble. Hard to know without knowing the error code.
