Cash Game Standard Here vs Las Vegas

I never been to vegas before and am planning on going there in a couple of months time to play mostly cash games and some tournies.

Would the standard of a 2-5 game here(Poker Room Celbridge for example) be same, harder or easier than most of the 2-5 games over there?($3 -$6 allowing for exchange rate)

I presuming that considering there not many 2-5 games here the standard be higher as most of top players would be in them.

As oppposed to Las Vegas where there be one or two sharks at the table and the rest tourists and rich people who cant really play the game?

If you are going to play 2/5 in Vegas play it in a room where it is the entry level game so that you get all the casual players who just want to sit in and have a go. I prefer to play in the Bellagio, the game is capped at 100bb buy in but its ridic soft. Easy money so long as you are the person pushing the action - your 3beting and 4beting frequency should be very high compared to a normal game in Ireland - there mostly nits who cant adapt to your aggression, eventually they will snap so just be sure to have a hand to tackle them on that occasion.

btw the min 3 bet or min 4 bet preflop in the game is always AA or KK. I found that out in my first ever cash session in Vegas where I stuck it in with AK v AA - I ran well though and thought him a lesson for min betting me. :)

Cheers for the reply will look at the Bellagio casual seems like the place to play alrite..I aggresive player so dont mind pushing the action at all..Just was worried there mite be alot of donks who will call not matter what they have(Not that is a bad thing would just change my style to tight and only bet with bigh hands and get paid off)..but sounds like there the oppposite and will only play with big hands? Happy days.

Dont mind the cap thing too much aslong as i picking up solid profit i wont complain :D

If you play all night just be aware of the time between 08:00 & 10:00 in the morning when the local sharks arrive to pick you off.

I agree with BCB in relation how tight their game is. Can be completely the opposite for tournies though. In the cash the regular players tend to be very solid compared to here as it's a lot easier to lose your money quickly in Vegas where you have 24/7 action. Your main pickings should be from tourists and casual players. Table selection can be key. In tournaments the standard tends be awful though as most of the field will be tourists who just want to play a game but are uneasy with cash. I also had to adjust to how tight their 3 and 4 betting range is as I repeatedly ran kings into aces and then had people flat call my 4 bets with kings and catch sets to crack my aces on the flop. I'm pretty sure I'll run better this time...

Bellagio have brought in 1/2NL so Id expect some of that value to be gone.

i didn't really play a whole lot so not much of a sample size to go on but i found the games v bit different to here, really nitty, and there seems to be a ridic number of people grinding for a living. they're not any good tho, just really bad nits. as bcb said they're really bad at adapting to aggression.
