The Dublin T&F takes place on June 20th in Morton Stadium

Does anyone know if this is an open event or if you have to be an athlete with a Dublin club to take part ?

Basically, do they accept culchies ?!

    Thanks

Off the top of my head I'd say yes but drop them a line to make sure.

Generally county championships would be confined to that county's clubs/athletes.

Best to check rather than turn up on the night and be disappointed.

Is this an enter on the day event? If so, how long before your event should you be there to register? Thanks.

I would have doubted it Private, but I'd check with the organisers.

I'll drop them a mail. There's no entry form on their site and there is for other races. I checked with my club during the week and they said you enter yourself (ie not a team event), but didn't know if it was on the day or not.

There should be a few sample pictures from this appearing on Alituv's flickr soon. I met him there last night and he got pictures of every track race.

Billy Ryan's 48.40 as a junior and the continuation of the return of the Mac with Ciaran McDonagh's 10.92 being the highlights. Great crop of young 400m men coming through.

Why was a winner of a race "not from Dublin" or run for a Dublin club givin' a medal??????

Is it not an open champs and anyway does it really matter, more local competition the better and good competition and perfomances are more important I'd say.

Exactly i know that times would have been alot more important to most of the lads over medals

OK, I was a bit early with that message - the pictures are now up on his flickr and RacePix365. There's some really great shots of the evening.

Just glad I got around "quick" enough so the winning picture doesn't contain a lapped Private or a Private edging out of shot!
