    Pro: It's cheap, especially short-term

Con. It's not your car... it never will be your car. You can't sell it on when you're done with it. All the money you spend on leasing and maintaining it is GONE in entirety, you get nothing at all back.

And in the end, over time, you'll end up spending the same amount to lease, as to buy.

Thats true but you loose that anyways in dep and car prices going down.

I'd doubt it to be honest. Unless it is a very short term lease or more like a rental agreement than leasing.

Nope. Not a chance. Most places will only lease brand new cars, myself included.

Better off looking at a Hire Purchase agreement over two or three years (if you can get the finance approved over a 36month term on a 4 year old car).

I know some rental co's will do long term leasing, and may have 2005/2006 E Class on fleet.
Lots of rental Co's have older fleet at moment, defo worth a ring around
