Downgrading iTunes

Sorry for the noob question. Want to downgrade the new itunes becuase well the Dev team told me to. Im on windows and all the tutorials i had a look at started off with uninstalling itunes. Will this no lose all my playlist, ratings ect? Would be disaster if that happened. Just want to make sure before i fo the deed. Thanks

i don't think so but not 100% sure. was going to do this myself to get tethering going but decided it wasn't worth the risk/effort.
