    Hi all,

took this the other day. The light was difficult, I was trying to capture the light on the water, but not sure if I've achieved that or if the shot just isn't good enough. Any ideas?

    Any advice much appreciated.

It appears the sun was coming at you, therefore making the background a lot darker than you maybe wanted. Not sure on how to get around that but maybe a filter might sort that out. Here is my attempt to bring out the background a bit more using Lightroom to up the F stop & CS3 to add a bit of saturation.

What do you think of this? Messed about with levels but put a mask over the water to keep the detail in the highlights. Also changed the green saturation a bit.

    @ Walsh Thanks much! :o

@ Trojan, yeah the sun was coming from in front and to left, I was shading with a tree to avoid a bit of it. Unfortunately it was just me and the camera around my neck, so no chance to use a filter. Next time...!

Thanks for the work on the shot both of ye, I'll take another look at it since it's not a complete wash-out.

    Cheers
