Lately when i use my brothers laptop and try to go onto sites such as Bebo, Myspace and others like that..My wireless connection drops and will not come back on unless i restart the computer. Can anybody help me with this problem??

Im also thinkin about re-installing Vista as its a bit old now, but i have not got the disk. Does anybody know how to do it without the disk ? I know there was a way to do it on XP at the start-up but appearantly its not possible on Vista.

    Thanks !!

There are probably too many old wlan profiles on the system. As Administrator, invoke a DOS command shell. Enter "netsh". Enter "wlan". Enter "delete profiles *". Close the DOS shell.

I can't think as to why you have signal one minute and not another without a restart, makes no sense. Perhaps don't restart, just disconnect and reconnect to thenetwork by right click and selecting the options.

You can't without the disk unless there is a backup pertition which there most likely is.

As for reinstalling. On Dell machines you can press CTRL and F11 as the PC boots to acces a windows reinstall partition, well on older ones you can not sure bout the new ones, if you have a Dell that is :)

Iv tried all the normal routines but the only one that works is the simple "did ya turn it off and turn it back on again" one !! Thanks for your help lads !
