Perhaps this is a stupid question, but I recently played some dvds from US on my laptop and saw some warnings about regions etc but ignored them. Now I want to play Blue Ray discs from Xtravision through my HDMI cable and they wont work due to region incompatability ?
Perhaps there is a player I should download I currently just use what came standard with the laptop WINDVD I think.
LAptop is Sony FW21M 6 months old

    Thanks for ur help

Check out a piece of software called Anydvd - google is your friend, it should sort out all region issues for dvd and bluray.
