    Howdy,

Has anyone else experienced the same issue with their cards recently?

All is ok up until windows goes to load and then there is no signal to the monitor.

The blue LED on teh back of the card is still lit during all this.
It almost leads me to think that there may be driver issues??

The blue light means HDMI should be working. Are you using HDMI or DVI? IS your monitor trying to autoselect the source?

If you press F8 as the windows logo comes up try picking vga mode from the list to use a basic video driver if that works try rolling back the video driver for your card to a previous version.

The flashing blue light can mean that the resoloution the card is trying to use is outside its display range.

    No joy at all guys.
Vga mode works grand, infact the card works to display a picture when using generic VGA drivers. Its only when I use the 181 and 185 drivers that once the windows loading screen is finished, the monitor loses signal.
Ive tested this on 3 different monitors at this stage with the same results.
On a core i7 and Q6600 system with same results too.

The card belongs to a customer of mine, so telling them to use old drivers and not new ones is out the window. It may look like I will have to get the card sorted under warranty

Try dropping the refresh rate on the card settings and see if that helps. Modern displays will switch to standby rather than go nuts like the older screens used to do.

    Just to update on this.

It turned out that the drivers for windows XP have issues with the card.

Drivers under Vista are grand. :/
