I'm planing on going to Belgium on the 25th of June making my way down from Amsterdam, I was going to spend the night in Brussels and day trip to Bruges but others have told me Bruges is better at night because of the lack of day trippers and that Brussels isn't all that impressive.

Instead I might spend two nights in Bruges day tripping to Brussels on the way in and out to Bruges. I'm looking at Lybeer travelers hostel or Charlie rockets leaning towards Lybeers as with this trip I'm spoiling myself with private rooms in budget hotels/hostels.

Any recomendations?
