I'm talking about weapons you could get hold of straight away so don't go ****in saying anti aircraft guns or army tanks.

Mine would be a golf club. Can do serious damage for its weight. I'd aim for the mouths. Knock the zombies teeth out and he's harmless.

An interplanetary warship with cruise control. :p

I'd go with the trusty hammer beside my desk. Although the more I think about it, it all depends on how infectious they are. If it's like the flu being in the same room as them could mean infection.

Buffy the Vampire Slayor, I know some people might not count her as a weapon so if I can't have my super human weapon then I'll take that axe she had in the last episode fighting the super vamps in hell.:)

I was going to wait until I finished the picture but seeing as you brought up Hurleys I had to post and knowing me I'll get bored and won't bother finishing it anyway.

    Zombie Battle Hurley

    battlehurl-copy.jpg

Brief: The battle hurl is designed as an axe like tool for destroying the heads of zombies. It is not intended to be able to decapitate but should be heavy enough and sharp enough to cause fatal trauma to the zombies head killing it instantly. It features a nail bar like spike protruding from the rear of the axe head. This spike is not really intended for the purpose of killing zombies but adds value to the weapon in that it can also be used to pry open doors, meaning one less tool needs to be carried when outside your fortified living area. Of course the spike can be used quiet effectively to destroy the brains of zombies.

The cutting edge is more rounded than a standard axe head to concentrate the force of the tool into a smaller area making it more deadly. As the cutting edge sweeps back into the rear nail bar tool the blade flattens out and widens this should also increase the damage the battle hurl can inflict as it spreads open any wounds the leading edge of the axe head makes.

Use: The battle hurl is to be used as a standard axe swinging down will generate the most force however this motion can result in the weapon becoming lodged in the target. The sweeping top end of the battle hurl means the a well timed strike from the side will allow the hurl to pass right through the target also pushing the target away as the flat part of the nail bar tool opens up the wound and forces the head away from the axe. It also ensures that should the first strike fail or another zombie is close by that the weapon is free and ready for another strike.

I wouldnt think the golf club would be all that suitable, a solid connection with the head of the club with the head of the zombie will do a lot of damage, but I think it would need to be the temple to assure a kill. As for going for the teeth, it might leave chipped teeth in there which will be very very sharp. Also if bend the shaft with a misplaced blow it effectiveness will diminish. But on saying that im sure its one of the betteer weapons lying around a house til you can get yourself one of those trusty battle-hurls!(TM)

As for my weapon, depends on where I am really, If im in my rented accomodation, ill be pretty screwed! no heavy or weapons with a bit of reach. But at home it would be the shotgun and axe. But someone did point out the problem with the axe is that you might over extend yourself, and you dont want to be doing that! So a weapon you can thrust i was recommended, so a long steel bar maybe.
