Scrap yard, spare parts

My first driving test was abandoned a few weeks ago because...wait for it...a glove compartment that won't close. The tester said that health and safety mean't he couldn't sit in the seat.

Anyway I've got the test coming up again. Actually tomorrow. And I haven't gotten around to fixing it. The catch is broken - actually the spring and one half of the catch is missing.

Anyone know a good scrap yard dealer or small time garage that is likely to have spare parts like that around? Oh around Dublin.

    thanks,

    Declan

There are a few yards near the Red Cow, and a few near Dunsink (never been to those ones though).

Any way of taking off the compartment door for the test?

Good luck with the test anyway.

All you have to do is keep it closed, tape or blutac would suffice if you can't get hold of the parts.

Best of luck with the test.

    Thanks for the reply.

Apologies, I should have done a more thorough search before posting.
