Enter TI's National Champs 2009 - ages 7-19 - This Saturday

    Just an event I think is worth a mention. Trilogy’s Junior Aquathon is on this weekend in Portlaoise. It’s an age-graded event for 7 year olds to 19 year olds in five age groups. Each age group covers a different swim-run distance (see below).
    • Under 12 – 150m Swim, 1km Run
    • 13-15 – 300m Swim, 2km Run
    • 16-17 – 400m Swim, 3km Run
    • 18-19 – 750m Swim, 5km Run

    Entry costs just €5.00 and the huge goodie bag itself is worth 3-4 times the entry fee. Throw in a t-shirt, certificate, medal and a great family day out is guaranteed. Another bonus is that the event is – officially – the Triathlon Ireland Junior Championships – so the winner in each category will be officially 2009 National Champion!

    Theres already 120 entered, and there are 30-40 places left. Entries close Thursday (time needed to write up all them certificates!).
