Anybody know of any deer shooting in Westmeath/Offaly, particularly in the area if you draw a line from Tullamore to Mullingar. Thanks for any help!

I dont think many people wil tell you certain places anyway as if you have permissions and a deer licence you should know yourself.

Moving down that direction and am wondering if there is much in the way of deer shooting in the area, hoping to get permission if there is. Dont fancy traveling to where I currently am to keep up my hobby if I can continue it closer to where i will be living. wasnt aware that deer populations are a state secret, they are not where i am anyway!

drive around a bit and have a look at area, if theres a local co-op thats a start, iv went to one or two where i was looking for new permissions and said it to them, Farmers that are having trouble can be told of your services etc by the person you are talking to there.... or stick up an add etc in them...

    best of luck

I know its not state secret, but there's a lot people who wil just look for places to shoot deer wit no licence and happens a bit around here as its very quiet area. In fairness i wasn being smart its just the post left it very vague is all. Yes there is a couple of places along that route. Also a few different gun clubs could help you out if you joined.
