Anyone know if Windows MSN uses much bandwidth? Have 1.2GB tariff and there is a fair usage policy in play as well. Could windows MSN affect this strict limit? I have Digiweb's new Satellite service.

    Thanks

If you're just using the text-chat feature, then no it doesn't use that much (kilobytes, rather than megabytes for a day's usage). If you stay connected, it "phones home" a lot but using only a few bytes each time. If you leave it connected 24/7 and have a few hours of text chats a day, you'll be nowhere near your cap (more likely 1-5% of it, depedning on usage).

Once you start using voice/video (which will be pretty cack on satellite anyway), you'll start to use up more of your cap.
