I heard someone on the radio this morning saying a handy way to test if your microwave is safe is to switch it off - put your mobile phone in it, close the door and ring your phone. Your phone shouldn't ring if it does your microwave is faulty. Just wondering if there's any truth in this cause I tried it and my phone rang and now i'm wondering should i get a new microwave.

    Thanks

    Lisa
