Sorry if this has been brought up before-Im sure it has

Im looking for some advice on a good shampoo. My hair is greasy at the top but quite dry at the end from using the ghd. Im lucky if I get 2 days out of it, i've tried dry shampoo which has worked to an extent, but my hair still doesn't feel fully clean.
Its not really greasy I just like my hair to feel clean:)

Any advice on a good shampoo greatly appreciate

I absolutely love "shampure" by aveda and find it great.

I was pleasantly surprised by Boots own brand shampoos. They are a fraction of the price of some and better than most.

shampoo is not the problem ,by using the GHD you are stripping the hair of it's nutrients that are needed to give it a healthy lustre.
ie the sebacious glands are doing their job by making the roots oily,so i suggest you buy,REVLON EQUAVE SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER,
the conditioner is applied to the ends after towel drying washed hair and left in ,not rinsed, for added protection.
i think you will have to buy direct from a salon ,i've never seen it in chemists etc.

Seriously, I wouldn't buy any expensive shampoos. They usually tend to be pretty much the same thing. I have the same kinda hair as you. Garnier Fructis do a shampoo for greasy roots/dry ends. It smells nice! Just don't put any conditioner on your roots, greasy greasy! Boots do brilliant intensive conditioners...this one :10023444?wid=200&hei=250&op_sharpen=1 is AMAZING!

Agreed and agreed. I have greasy roots and dry ends (wouldn't even get two days out of it) and I use Boots own brand Sea Kelp and Water Mint shampoo. It's the best i've ever used. Only costs about 2quid too.

I love that conditioner too, it's the best EVER.

I find that L'oreal do a pretty decent shampoo. I think its called cashmere touch or something??It's in a pink bottle anyway and it leaves my hair really soft and shiny and i find that my hair doesn't get as greasy as quickly compared to when i use other shampoos. Not to bad on the auld pocket either!:pac:

Herbal Essence do a Regulating Shampoo for dry ends and greasy roots. It's a Bluey Green colour.

I want to check out this Boots own brand shampoo now though after the comments here.

just a by the way on shampoos, ive heard it is good to use different shampoos every few weeks. ive noticed if i use a shampoo for weeks and then change, my hair goes from being limp, dull and unworkable to shiny almost perfect .. well perfect for me :)

It's not a shampoo though, if you just use it on the end of your hair it's really really good stuff, just do it every now and again and keep it away from your roots. The Sea Kelp and Water Mint Conditioner is good too but if you want a good conditioning treatment every now and again use one of the boots hair masks or intensive conditioners, they're really brilliant.

Sorry it's Rosemary and Water Mint, my mistake. See through bottle with greeny shampoo. The Conditioner is a greeny white in the same shape bottle.
