where to get a tortoise

    i want to find out a good petshop/ breeder where I can find a healthy redfooted tort or a hermann's tort somewhere in the south east or east coast. i do want a hatchling or a young tortoise though. if anyone can help can you send me a pm please.

    they do but cant get them in for a while plus no offence at all intended but going to a specalist reptile shop sounds to me like it might be a better idea alright

    there is a reptile haven in dublin near christ church he could be branched with the one in dun L but anyway they have a great selection and breed most of there own they know what they are doing good people :)

    Reptile Haven on Fishamble Street, Dublin would be your best bet, specialist reptile shop, one of the oldest in the country as opposed to a pet shop that just decided to jump on the reptile bandwagon

    have to agree there with demonique, ben is the best in the country as far as im concerned, and has great stock,
    to many shops have just started to sell em without the staff to look after em

    yea that the guy i was talkin about i couldent think of the address new it was near christ church my boyfriend gets all his snakes there and none have had any health probs and all are doing well , they have a big shar pei in the shop 2 he is so cute

    Unless you have someone you can leave the tortoise to in your will perhaps you could consider an older tortoise there is, I believe, a reptile rescue in Ireland and they may or may not have older tortoises looking for homes.

    where is the rep rescue could you give me a number my boyfriend is getting another snake i think a rescue is much better option :)
