I am seriously confused by how the WWE have booked Randy Orton in the past few months, as a quick summary of what i mean here is what i posted in the PPV thread last night after his match with Batista.
    WTF!!!

why the hell are the WWE treating Orton like this they have completley ruined what could have been for Orton in the last few months.

HHH winning at mania when he could have put Orton over big-time
Only letting him win the belt in a six man tag match
then having him get disqualified to keep his belt at Judgemet day before Flair took out him and legacy
and now to have him lose to Batista clean in a short match that isn even the 2nd main event of the card.

they gave him the ball but why the hell did they not let hm run with it, hes been their top guy for months on Raw yet they continue to **** all over him.

Since before the Rumble Orton has been on fire and argueably the best thing on Raw (not that he is always given all that much competition for that position) ut againand agai both him and Legacy have been made look weak, it really make no sense to me.

    :confused::confused:

don't forget how shane kicked his ass time and time again, including all members of legacy in one match

If the incident last week was not a work, as was suggested in the other thread, then it'd make sense to take the belt off him as punishment.

Although I think Ortons getting **** over I believe we have seen his best work when he's been chasing the title and I think his work hasn't been as good since he won the belt. Also building to a Batista Hunter feud wouldn't make much sense without a strap on the line. I do agree it is shocking how Orton's been treated the only other thing may be a wellness violation as I don't think anybody thought Batista was going to win

I'd imagine Orton i'll get the title back tonight on Raw giving the fact that Boretista is injured.

Maybe, but seeing as reports say that Batista was injured before the match, it would have made a whole lot more sense to have Orton destroy him in the match and give a creative a good reason for batista being out of the picture, and increasing Orton's value and heat. It'd be great if Orton got the belt back tonight but i wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.

That ^ provides a good possible explanation for last nights result.

Orton is one of the very guys who could get away with failing welness without been punished;)
Orton since Mania has been on a downward slope. Getting destroyed by Flair, Shane done him no favors plus the chemistry between him and Dave has been dire. Dave as champion does not interest me in the slightest though. Let him and Cena do something. He is the one main eventer on Raw that RKO works excellently with. I imagine the crowd would prefer to see that than what they both are at right now.

The older crowd don't want to see dave. The kids do, they love him.

I'm fine with Randy getting his ass handed to him. When he gets beat up, Legacy interfere to help and Randy does something nasty to make you want to see him get his ass handed to him again next week.

Its normal for a Heel to win with help and do something dispicable so people will pay to see him get Beaten in the end at a PPV.

Randy does take a beating well. Maybe thats why he gets beat up all the time, he does it as good as anyone ever has. In many cases where he was beaten they tried to protect his image. He was attacked from behind alot, shane came out of the crowd, he attacked him before one match started on the ramp, Flair snuck up on him last week.

Orton and his promos are been the best thing about Raw lately - i expected him to start feuding with Cena after Extreme Rules for the title but no instead Batista wins gets injured and is out with the title and HHH returns to once again feud with Orton

I love to see Hardy or Edge on Raw feuding with Orton for title it would be different :p

I just find orton and raw in general very boring these days, ortons promos are so monotonous and so are his matches.
I think this 'psycho' orton character peaked months ago around the time when he kicked vinny mac in the head.
I dont see anyone new who he can feud with on raw either and I never want to see him or hhh wrestle ever again, its been done to death!!

thats the point though, The character perhaps hadnt peaked at that point but it was then that the WWE started to bury him and Legacy time and time again for some reason. Be it burial by HHH, Shane, Batista or Flair the WWE seem to have denied him a push that could hav really made him one of the biggest stars going despite looking like they wold do so back at the Rumble.

In Randy's case how do you top kicking Vince in the head and winning the Rumble the next Sunday? I can't figure out how they could of topped that. In fact that is what makes his more recent attacks on people less interesting, he peaked in january and the more recent attacks are really a repeat of what he has done before.

I know if they kept pushing the heel over all the babyfaces Randy would have reached an AMAZING superdooper heel level. That would of been pretty good and something differant.

But I'm kind off glad they didn't, can you Imagine the backlash on this forum when HHH or Cena beat him after getting pushed so hard? grrrr why did wwe bother to push and build up randy only to have hunter/cena/batista beat him up, grrrr fvck you wwe, months of wwe watching wasted grrr:p

well thats the thing, i guess im complaining about the WWE's booking and wish it was different. If it was different maybe we wouldent be looking at a situation where the only solution to the Uber heel Orton would have been Super Hunter/Cena.

i.e if I was booking WWE (aww thatd be nice :D:o) id have made Legacy much more credable and not have them get squashed every week by whoever was Ortons Opponent at the time. Make them tag champs who dominate the divison like the Colons at the moment but much more high profile and heelish. Then when Ted Dibiase finally turns on Orton, (perhaps with Cody's backing) Randy could be made out to be a lot less unbeatable without them by his side and maybe even lose his title to Cena or say some mid carder getting a push like MVP thanks to Dibiase's interferance and therefore kick starting the feud between the two.

I think the draft thread has really made me think about how things are booked too much but the above is just of the top of my head.

I see where your coming form but if they did the above then we would have Evolution all over again and everyone would complain.

When you think about it Randy does look more beatable without legacy. He needed legacy to help him beat up shane, beat up flair, beat up HHH, beat up Batista and everyone complained.
