Jobs abroad-New Zealand

Does anyone know what the job situation is like for secondary teachers over in New Zealand?? Is it hard to register with their teaching council etc and is there actually any jobs there? Would LOVE to move there if feasible

Or does anyone have any advice where there may in fact be secondary jobs (apart from England) cos there ain't any in Ireland

Not to be totally gloomy but I have heard that the so called teacher shortage in Austrailia and New Zealand is a total myth.
Its funny as the UK has LOADS OF Australian and NZ teacher applying to work IN THE UK. Which would make you wonder if there really is a shortage of teachers out in the land of OZ:rolleyes:

Another popular myth is that the UK is desperate for teachers - simply not true! Where I live there are over 100 applications for 1 primary job sadly !
