Set-Up self extractor not working

    Trying to instal AVG and get this message: AVG Set-Up self extractor based on 7-zip not working.

    Then I go and try and instal 7-zip and I get message 7-zip not working.

    Using Vista - googled it and other people seem to have the same problem but I cannot find a solution online. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

    Try extracting the contents first and then running the setup EXE.

    Another thing you could try is right clicking the setup exe file and choosing "Run as admininstrator" option
