Panasonic TU-DSB31 Network ID and Transport Stream are 0000

    I have installed a quad LNB. I have a Panasonic digibox, model TU-DSB31 which I had as a spare. When I connect to any of the 3 cables from the new LNB I get the following;

    Signal quality : 70%
    Signal strength: 70%
    Lock indicator: OK
    Network ID: 0000
    Transport stream 0000

    My newer pace box works connected to the 3 cables. I also checked the Panasonic digibox in my friends house, with the same result. The Panasonic digibox worked 3 weeks ago. I tested it out a couple of weeks ago as the pace box was giving an intermittent fault (actually found the fault when I changed the LNB, water and corrosion in the connection. The sky installer had just used insulating tape)

    Is there anyway to fix this problem or is it for the bin?

    It mite be due to the fact that the box has currently an old revision of the software. U can force a software upgrade by unplugging the box.

    Next find and hold the backup button on the front of the box, and whilst still holding switch on the box, do not let go until it lights up and a message appears on screen telling u it is updating its system software, when its finished it will shutdown into standby and take a min or two before it will let u boot it back up.

    Thanks Steveon

    I have actually tried that and its still the same. The only thing is I used it to try and find the astra satellites a couple of weeks ago. I was trying to get the 28.2E satellite but because of buildings I got another satellite. I just remember the tv coming up with weird stations. Left it after that..

    Would that have any bearing on the problem?

    I know I had a few of the Panasonic boxes u are referring to, and it took a couple of attempts for it to take the new software upgrade, also have had similar problems with some old Grundig boxes....

    You need to be sure you are locked onto the Astra 2 sat for the upgrade to take place..
