Why is the search function so poor?
If I want to find anything on boards I have to use google

Its what comes with vBulletin unfortunately. We are considering a project to vastly upgrade it but first we have to consider what version 4.0 will bring.

Until then I suggest using the search on the front page, right hand side which is a specific google search for this site. The current search function is very handy for people who are looking for posts in a specific forum or by a specific user, or timeframe etc.
