apologies if this thread is in wrong place. (alot of the posts are hardware orientaed) anywho, heres the scenario. set up facebook page everthing working fine. three days in getting into the swing of things i.e. requesting friendship status of people i probably wouldn't talk to if i met them in person.
i go to log in put in my email then my password.... >dramatic music< it dosen't recognise my email/password? re-enter ensuring CaPs is not on. still no go. I'm absolutely certain i'm entering the correct password. i've also used my only 2 emails i have. i've googled the problem the only suggestions seems to be clearing cache so i did that, tried several types of browsers also. there is option to reset password in an email but i never get the email. jus wondering has anybody else had this problem? any suggestions would be appreciated

just click reset password and you can login through your email account - I do this regularly - as my password is too long and complicated (about 30characters) .... no chance of someone guessing it if I cant login :P

check your spam folder when you request the new folder. It could have gone in there.

I assume facebook have a support email on their website. You'd get a much better response much quicker by contacting them.

Thanks for the advice but i've tried all of above. I tried to reset the password but all i have gotten is a confirmation email with a link directing me to enter my email and password, which it won't recognise. I'm not entirely sure if this email is related to the password reset requests but its all i've recieved from facebook. I tried my best to navigate the help section of facebook website but i don't seem to be getting a response from them.

this is doin my head in aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

could anyone tell me what exactly is contained in da email sent to you when you reset your password so i know exactly what i'm lukin for.

    any help greatly appreciated

    Toasteen!:(

Try both your e-mails in the reset password section and check spam folder in both accounts.

Also, try searching both accounts for "facebook" and see what one has the "Welcome to facebook" message.

If these fail then either you typed in the wrong e-mail when signing up.(not sure if you have to confirm e-mail for registration!)

    OR

Somebody has guessed/hacked your account and changed the e-mail address on the account.Did you have a simple password??

In any case if you don't have any joy just keep contacting facebook until you get a reply.. They should help you out either way!
