Anyone having major problems with Sky at the moment. I got it installed in Feb. It was fine for the first few months. I had to ring numerous times, had a tech call twice and now I can't get any signal. I'm ringing tomorrow to cancel.
    Is UPC any better?

What did the tech say was the problem when he called out.

UPC is far worse. Less reliable and MUCH poorer quality when working perfectly. and no free channels.

Also when you cancel Sky you get extra free UK channels. When you cancel UPC you have nothing.

Yes, on any one day it's estimated that 5000 people are having problems with sky reception for various reasons.

I've had Sky a year & never had any problems. Had Chorus (NTL) before that & they were useless. The reception one time was so bad, we'd to complain for months before it was fixed... after it was, I was told by their customer service team that the mast they built was so high, that their Health & Safety officer said it was too dangerous to climb by their maintenance staff.

How very Father Ted of them.
