    Yo,
Was wondering if there's a way to boot of an image already on your PC? Short on the DVD's, but need to install a large *nix image onto my machine. Heard there was something available, but can't for the life of me remember what it was called.

Basically, have a 3GB ISO image, but need to install it onto the PC, using a virtual daemon-tools-like program that the computer will still see as a "virtual" disc, outside of Windows.

What distro are you installing? There are various methods of doing it, but they can depend on which one it is.
