Meath robbed of the chance to beat dubs by dodgy decisions again!! What was the story with only having two mins of injury time today?
Seems filling Croker is more important than fair play and competition to the GAA .

If, as you say, the powers that be were really motivated by making more money for the GAA wouldn't they have tried to let them play on until they equalised so there coud be a money spinning replay?

And in fairness they deserved nothing out of the game, they were truly dire for the 72 minutes they were out there, regardless of the amount of injury time.

Get real. Meath wouldnt have won anyway. Dublin were absoultly crap. Meath were worse

Whos to say dublin wouldn't have been beaten off the pitch in a replay? they were the dire team today something like 16 or 17 wides!
Theyll pack Croke park for a semi final and final. Two extra matches rather than 1. Can you honestly say there shouldnt have been more injury time??

Come on be a real Royal supporter and admit we were dire, Dublin missed about 8 to 10 clear cut points, on another day it could have been over at half time.

Meath are in serious trouble and while they may have sneaked a draw or a win if the proper amount of added time was set then it would clearly not have been merited.

Sure the 2 minutes added time was a disgrace and why it was only 2 minutes should be looked into but saying Meath were robbed is just ridiculous

As a Dub just after watching the game now (Sky+), we weren't great at all. A lot of counties will not want to get Meath in the Qualifiers. First game of the Championship for us so hopefully we'll be a lot more confident in the next outing. Two minutes of injury time. That was a joke.

there definitly should of been at least 5 minutes of added time but meath were in no way robbed.dublin could of easley of scored 3 or 4 more points in that time.it was a crap match and the earlier the ref blew it up the better. lenister is gone to the dogs..

Thanks Denman. Im not a royal so its a completely nuetral view actually draffodx. Dublin will improve but Meath werent given any chance .

get a life man/woman. who is to say meath would have actually got the 2 points? how do u know dublin wouldnt went on to win the game by 3 or 4. games are 70 minutes, meath didnt do enough to win the game in that time, no point complaing about extra time that didnt come when i dont think they had a chance of getting anything.

Yes there should have been more than 2 minutes, probably more like 5 or 6. but i was delighted as it saved me from having to watch another 3/4 minutes of that ****e. Awful awful game

Neither team deserved anymore time! They'd done enough damage to leinster football.
It was a horrible match, as a dub supporter i would agree with the meath man there should have being at least 5mins extra time.

The ref was terrible but he didn't rob meath either.

Id like to have seen a reply would actually have done both teams a world of good!!

Exactly homerjay. Meath didnt get 70 mins because injury time replaces normal time wasted . There should have been 6 , they played 2 min 42 secs . I didn say they wouldve won but they might. They werent gonna be let anyway.

Both teams were terrible and should be banned from being shown on live television.
Conal Keaney I'm looking in your direction

In terms of the injury time, well I'd have to agree that there should have been more due to the Mark Davoren injury. I was expecting at least 3 minutes. I don't think Meath would have won.

There were quite a lot of notices going up on the big screens about missing children during the game. There should have been one about the missing Dublin defence. Meath got a run of points there in the first half that could not have been easier if there was no defence there. The Dublin forwards weren't much better. Let's just say that the likes of Tyrone won't be quaking in their boots at what they saw of Dublin in Croke Park today. There won't be too many of the teams already in the qualifiers that'll be scared of Meath either. Both teams can only improve.

Wo wo wo.... let win unless the ref is actually playing and discounting goals and points that is a crazy silly statement.

There should have being 6 mins extra time agreed, meath could have won it in that for sure, but the dubs could've built on there lead too. We'll never know.

The only winner today was the GAA with gate reciepts. And once the dubs stay in the championship/back door or not the gaa is getting the crowds in.

Imagine if dublin converted the wides what the score could've being. Meath fought well, but to be playing the whole card the gaa didn't want meath to win is crazy talk.

The ref was in equal measure bad to both sides.
It was a bad game full stop. The ref had enough he'd better places to be!

There wouldn't have been a replay. New rules this year were introduced that specified extra time to be played in all matches prior to provincial semi final stage.

Yes very true both teams had a shocker. Meath have potential though. Dublin dont have enough natural talent like the Brogans.

I agree that ye should have had 5 minutes of injury time.

    Thats it.

Dublin held the ball in the corner for the last 2 minutes, whats to say they wouldn't have done that for 4-5.

Yesterday’s game was the worst game I’ve had to endure for a long time. Never seen a Dublin team play that bad and still come away with a win. Huge improvement needed.

Total sour grapes. Meath got what they deserved out of the game i.e nothing.

Come on now, Dublin played crap, kicked 16 wides, they did their best to lose it and Meath still weren't good enough. Meath football has really gone down over the last 7 or 8 yrs and you have to accept that. Not just at county senior level either. Meath have had a poor record at underage level for a while now, and a terrible record in the Leinster club championship, so it could be some time before we see Meath back as a force.

The OP has stated he is not from Meath so how can it be sour grapes?

Same ref that was substituted in the Longford/Wicklow match and he was just as bad in that one.

Ridiculous name to the thread. It was the ref not central council that played two mins.

As a Dublin supporter it was not enough time, agreed.

As a football fan it was too much, they should have put us out of our misery after the 70 were up, god awful performance by both sides.
