hipsters/low waistband jeans

I know they are doing the rounds a while now but is there anybody out there who shares my dislike for low waistband jeans, if you are as little as a pound overweight they are a no no . High waist band jeans hide a lot and I believe compliment a womans figure in comparison to low.:(
