    Lagat won from Shaheen.

Kipchoge led from when the pacermakers dropped out. Lagat kicked past him with about 300m to go. Shaheen went to front at 200m but Lagat regained the lead with about 100m to go. Chris Solinsky came through for third I think.

    thanks again.

I found the link a few seconds before the 3k started and posted it while watching the race - I think I did quite well :)

The letsrun link tells a good bit about the athletes.

Not Irish in my opinion. If he is in yours, fair enough.

Quality stuff from Asbel Kiprop in the mile. Looked effortless as usual. Like on Monday in Hengelo, he was comfortable enough to celebrate with about 80m to go. Can't see anyone touching him over 1500m/mile this year (Unless Ramzi gets cleared).

Cheruiyot won well, was anonymous until the last lap, came through well at 300m to go and held off Jamal when she came back at her in the home straight.

But the answer to the question asked was yes, regardless of your own views on his legitimacy to run for Ireland. He is Irish in the eyes of the Athletics authorities so there was indeed an Irish person running at Pre today. If you didn't see his name on the start list (spelled incorrectly, IIRC), fine, but if you just replied no because in your view he isn't Irish, then that's just silly.

Great running by Cragg, faster than what he ran over 3000 last year. Fingers crossed he can be healthy come Berlin.

I answered the question as I saw it. I wasn't asked to give the views of athletics authorities.

Back on topic, Asbel ran 3:48 while messing around up the home straight. Alan Webb ran 3:55, slower than when he was in school and nine seconds slower than the American record he set in 07.

B Sample came back today..... negative so looks like he dodged that bullet would love to see Kiprop wiped the floor with him this year to prove drugs not a substitute for pure talent

Or maybe he wasn't guilty to start with. The A sample test is not as accurate as a B sample. That's why names aren't supposed to published without the results of the B sample. Where did you hear that? Seems strange to come back on a Sunday.

According to this article (http://www.runnersweb.com/running/rw_news_frameset.html?) the B sample is only due to be tested tomorrow.
