I havn't checked regarding the courses your looking for but I was told there would be no level 2 courses over the summer as those who present the courses are busy with their own coaching of athletes throughout a hectic summer.

It's annoying not be able to do the course in the summer when I've more free time but it's reassuring to know that the people giving the courses are actually coaches themselves.

Not sure what part of the country you are in but my advice would be to contact your local RDO (Regional Development Officer), contact details on AAI website. He/she will know when the next coaching courses are being planned for in your area/region.

I presume you are coaching in a post-primary setting? In that case Athletics Leader would not be appropriate for you. There is a Assistant Coach course but this is targeted at those who will be working with other, more experienced, coaches. If you are "the coach" then Level 1 is the baby for you.

    Best of luck.
