Mods vs Muppets 2009

Some of the mods in here think they rule the roost. that is probably the case.

But in the real world i wonder can they walk the walk. I reckon that for any distance up to ten miles i could beat their behinds, even giving runningman a piggyback the whole way around. I could be wrong - i think not. Then we´ll see how little us muppets know about running. maybe then i´ll get the respect i crave.

Excellent idea. How about a 1500m race - Shane Gickball with RunningMan1980 on his back versus Amadeus - if Amadeus wins Shane gets banned for a week, if Shane wins, he takes Amadeus' place as Mod for the week?

Video the race and stick it up on YouTube for us!

I have to get out of that piggyback clause, got a bit carried away there. It can be a normal racemeet that suits. I will enter the race shane gickball. It can be any or all mods. There doesn,t have to be a win/lose task but i´m open to that. i will focus my training like never before. Although i would like to be a mod.

Whatever, just so long as there's an official trashtalk thread in the lead-up to the event.

It'd only be trolling if he refused to race after setting the challenge. Can we not challenge someone to a race on an athletics forum now? What's the world coming to?

Thats a valid point, and I believe shane is a man of his word. A race is a race, no harm in that

Have you come across any challenges like that here before, come be fair. I used to come across this type of sh!te in the MA/SD forum, with guys calling others out. In the end the forum lost out and in my opinion never fully recovered from it, and I can see that happening here. Yeah, the bickering [sp] can be fun to watch at times but its not really what we come here for is it?

Is this how we measure things now? If so, so be it. However, I think the forum will lose out.

    Quote from Wikipedia:-

"In internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion."

...just my opinion on this tread!

Shane - I'll be your huckleberry, PM me and we can arrange:D

Your ban here will mean more time to train.
