'Failure to pass drving test' cert - replacement?

I'm an eejit for loosing it, and was sure i had it somewhere safe, but after a house move i can't find it.

At this point i'm on my umpteenth license, but only took the test for the first time quite recently.

So, apparently i can't renew my license (about to expire) without the cert.

Has anyone ever had to get it replaced? and how hard is it to do?

    Thanks

As far as I know you only have to prove taht you have applied for test as opposed to haven taken it already. Ideally you would still have your cert to say you failed. the alternative is to apply for a nother test which you would have to do again anyway at some point.

Rephrased the question. Hopefully it makes more sense.

Firstly, you need to apply for another driving test. If you do not currently have a valid Learner Permit, you will need to do this by post. (AFAIK, one can only apply online with a LP number).

When you recieve evidence of having applied for a test you may apply for another Learner Permit but with one year's duration only.
