Hi all, just have a question regarding the backlght....i've had the laptop for about 3yeas so its starting to struggle now....but when i first got it the backlight would be on when it was connected to the mains, and then when it was using the battery it would turn off or the screen would darken.....however, recently the screen has been dark when i use the mains but be bright when i use the battery???

how would this have changed and how do i change it back?? the battery is more or less gone so i use it only with mains power...???

    Thanks

    Hi

You need to look for power management settings, most probably in control panel. I have one of these, but I'm not using it at the moment or I could be more precise!

Try control panel and there you should be able to change the settings around to ensure it goes darker when on battery power.

Hi when the laptop is plugged into the mains

Press fn + the F key that corrosponds to brighten the lcd (this is normally f8 or f10) it appears as a sun sumbol with an arrow up; Your screen should brighten.
