does anyone know if it is only cusack stand & davin stands that students get a concession on or does it apply to the hogan stand as well? just the gaa site says no to hogan but the paper today had that it's all stands. if anyone could clear this up for me it'd be appreciated.

All Students and Senior Citizens must purchase a full price ticket for the CUSACK or DAVIN Stands. On match day € 10 will be refunded prior to entry to the Stadium at Block ‘D’ Stiles 1 - 5 Cusack Stand with appropriate, current photographic and valid I.D. Student ID Cards will only be acceptable if they have an expiry date.

I'd say the paper got it wrong as this is the way its always been and I can't see them changing it.

It is normally only at those Cusack Stand stiles that you can get the concession. I don't think that will have changed.

I've entered through these stiles with a hogan stand ticket before and got the concession, could be down to the individual, this would have been before the electronic ticket readers, but worth trying, just give yourself time to get around to the other side of the ground if they won't let you in.

Doesn't work anymore with the electronic ticket scanners. I tried it for the club finals and was told that the machines wont read the hogan tickets at the Cusack entrance. Had to go back around to the Hogan entrance which was a bit of a pain in the hole!

After learning the hard way, only the cusack and davin ( canal end) attract the concession prices for students and OAP. Tickets must be produced for refund in Block D Cusask stand before entering the stadium. There is a refund section for AOP in the Davin Stand turnstiles along Jones Road (Gate 1 )

This was explained to me by steward outside the Hogan last year when I went up with 3 kids with Hogan tickets looking for my refund.

He told me that ticket agents, clubs and county boards incorrectly inform supporters that they can get a refund on Hogan tickets where infact it is wrong and it creates alot of hassle on match day. He also pointed out that it was actually printed on the ticked (GAA issued tickets only) that no refund was payable on Hogan Stand Ticket.

Fair play to him, he contacted someone n got my tickets swapped for Cusack and was able to get the €15 back on each ticket.

So be careful with Hogan Tickets --- No concessions available on them for Students or OAP for any GAA event

I've been stuck running round to Cusack after going looking for refund on concessions at Hogan before. Pretty sure its just Davin or Cusack- annoying I know! but worth going round to get the refund at the far side for the sake of the tenner!

I'm surprised they give you the refund at all. They say that you should purchase tickets for Cusack and Davin.
