    Hi all,

I broke my hair-straightener and need to replace it.

Can anyone suggest somewhere to buy a GHD that is cheaper than Peter Marks? I am reluctant to try ebay but if anyone can recommend a seller I will try them.

    Thanks in advance! :)

There's someone on here I think that fixes them for a reasonable price. Can't remember who though. Maybe they'll see this and be able to help you out. Try your local tv repairs place, they might be able to sort too.

Got one on asos.com a few months ago, was about £100. Great after-sales service too cos it broke a short while after i got it and they replaced it for me no bother.

    I second www.hqhair.com
I've used them a few times to buy GHD's for myself and family, great company.

DONT buy off ebay unless the seller has good reputation!!!

Foolishly on one of my first trips to ebay (not understanding the amount of frauds out there) I bought a lovely pink GHD, arrived within a week!! And worked for about the same time!!! Never was able to register it on GHD.com so I had nothing to fall back on!!!! The seller told me I had ONE day to return the item not a week!!! Then suddenly vanished off ebay with my €90!!!!!

I was never fooled again like that!!!!!!!

Do you think this site is legit?

    http://www.ghdshopping.co.uk/index.php/purple-ghd-iv-hair-straighteners.html

They seem to be a good bit cheaper than other site I looked at.

    Thanks

Could be wrong but they look dodgy as hell, I'd try get in touch with GHD and see if they are an official seller, http://www.ghdhair.com/customer-care/contact-us

Tbh as soon when something is surprisingly cheap in comparison with other websites with free shipping, instances of dodgy english on their website (We appreciate credit card (Visa, Mastercard)payment only.') and their 'contact us' section is just a contact form (no email address, phone number or postal address) I'd steer clear. When you go through to pay you're redirected to 'PayEase Beijing', I'd personally avoid them, even though they have a .co.uk address it doesnt look like they're based in the UK
