    I am just wondering if anyone knows what is the ascent for the 50km loop in the ballyhouras?

    Why not plot it in bikeroutetoaster or mapmyride?

    Just select not to follow roads.

    Thanks for your response, I should have had a better look around the net before I posted! I just found a PDF with all the ascents for the loops here:

    The 51km trail has 280 metres of climb according to that. I am actually a little suprised, I would have thought it was a good deal more....

    Its about 1000mtrs.....closest 3 loops are good (1st 2 and last), outer loops are poor. 2:50 time for the 50km, I reckon there is a 2:30 in there somewhere. A good day out.

    I would have thought it was more then 280 on the white track alone considering it covers over 30 km. Will check next time I'm down there but I'm pretty sure it's no where near 1000.
