A lot of places seem to buy mail order direct off "Viking direct"

There are many staionery companies compteting for business out there at present and I would speak to someone locally. Be careful of buying form Viking - they are cheap for some items but sell many products at full retail. Pick a range of products and price them with 2-3 suppliers.

I have used west dublin lasertech and find them excellent. Martin Power is the contact.

How ya. Im in the stationary trade in Cork and help run a successful office supplies company. I would urge anyone to avoid Viking and try and get the best deal from your local supplier. Believe me at the moment in the current climate you will get a good deal if you ask for one. Viking are ok but to get a decent price on anything you have to buy big quantites and they also charge for delivery where as your local supplier probably wont.

    +1.

I find officegenie.ie in Kildare very competitve even against the likes of Viking. Although they have catalogue prices, like most independent stationary companies, they can cut deals as well. I also think its a good idea to shop local and support local businesses at this time instead of using multi-nationals.... obviously ensuring savings can be made at the same time.

I use Huntoffce.ie and they are very helpful. If I can find the product cheaper and can prove it they will match their price to it but mostly I find they are pretty bang on the price against others.

Also before you start buying from them you can discuss the products you are more likely to buy frequently, for me its paper, and get a set price on it rather than having to take the bulk buyinh option to get a lower per unit price.

also they are an hour away so im guarenteed nex day delivery if I order before 4.

I started with Viking and after a disaster over €1k I ran away from them.

If you are looking for your nearest stockist contact a company in Citywest Dublin called "Spicers". They are a distributor for stationary however they will not deal with you or I but can put you onto one of their stockist near to where you are based.

Spicers are one of the main stationary suppliers to office supplies companys in ireland. Spicers sell the 5 Star brand. The other company is Vow Europe which sell the Q Connect brand.
