Hey, i was just wondering whats the story with tranferring to different clubs? do you have to be living or working in the area or can you just move clubs? My reason for asking is ive had a bit of a disagreement with members of my local club a year ago and i havent hurled since and i miss it greatly! so now im considering moving to a club a few miles away from me but its in a different county but a lot of old school friends are hurling there!! im just wondering have i any chance of tranferring??

Dotsflan as far as I know if you dont play for you club for a year then you are essentially a free agent (see the Eamonn Fennell carry on) and can join any club you like. However if it is less than a year you will have to put in a transfer request. Im not too sure how it works with transferring between counties.

Between counties seems to be the easiest of all, i did it before and it took about 10 days from start to finish.
