Hey, anyone know if you can search for other people's pre-set routes on this?

So rather than mapping a route out I can just follow someone else's?

I think you can do this on mapmyride, but I can't see the maps on that, I think it's because I use IE8?

Don't think you can search for courses in BRT, and just tried Googling for one of mine, no luck.

For mapmyride, I don't use IE so can't say. Download Firefox, it works in that :) Also works in Chrome.

bikeroutetoaster isn't about creating routes for future reference but about creating routes for downloading on to a gps device to be used for riding. You can of course download routes created and keep them yourself however they don't keep any routes on their site therefore you can't do what you want to do using this site.

I have just tested mapmyride in IE8 on Vista Ultimate and it works perfectly so it's not an IE8 problem however if you think that your implementation may be causing the problem then I suggest you run that site in compatability mode (the broken looking symbol to the left of the address bar beside the refresh button - just press it and it will run that site in IE7 mode).

Thanks, I just tried your advice for mapmyride, but unfortunately I still can't see the maps. I've gone through their help references and nothing there either. Ineresting that yours wors on IE8, it must be my internet setting somewhere I guess?

Yeah defo works on mine. I take you can get maps from other sites up ok? Glad you found that compability button as it's on the right and not the left as I said :o

Personally I don't use IE either - it just happens to be there. Firefox is my main browser and firefox with the latest google toolbar are great together. You should try it.

    Its probably missing a plugin.

    Does maps.google.com render correctly?

Actually they do keep routes on the site. If you register you can save any route and load it later, share the link with people, etc.

You just can't search for these routes.
